The majority of PPW's documentation is kept in Texinfo format. You can find the most recent manual on the PPW website here:

http://ppw.hcs.ufl.edu/

The documentation set includes a user manual in addition to a developer's guide that gives a high-level overview of the source code. You may find versions of both of these documents on the PPW website above, or under MANUAL and README.DEVELOPERS in the source distribution.
