XD1 machine

Thanks to generous support from Cray, an XD1 machine is operational in our lab supporting a variety of research activities in reconfigurable and dual-paradigm computing. More information on the XD1 family is available here. The basic specifications of the XD1 Linux system at Florida are as follows:
  • 12 AMD Opteron 250 processors (2.4 GHz), two per XD1 node in six nodes of one chassis
  • 24GB of main memory, 4GB per node
  • 6 Xilinx Virtex-2 Pro 50 user FPGAs (speed grade -7), one per node
  • RapidArray interconnect between nodes
