Theta cluster
The Theta cluster
consists of 40 Linux servers. This cluster was made possible thanks to the
generous support of AMD and their donation of Athlon microprocessors.
Each of the nodes in this cluster consists of the following:
- 1.33GHz AMD Athlon processor with 266MHz front-side bus
- Asus A7M266
motherboard with AMD 761 chipset
- Intel Pro/1000 MT Gigabit Ethernet NIC
- 10/100Mbps 3Com Fast EtherLink XL-II
- 256MB DDR PC2100 RAM
- 20GB HDD @ 7200 RPM
