Mu cluster

The Mu cluster is comprised of 32 Linux servers featuring both PCI-Express (x16) and PCI-X. Each of the nodes in this cluster currently consists of the following:
  • AMD 2.0 GHz Opteron 246 processor with 32- and 64-bit processing and HyperTransport
  • Tyan Thunder K8WE (S2895) dual-Opteron server motherboard
  • Dual on-board 1 Gb/s Ethernet
  • 1GB of Registered ECC DDR400 RAM
  • PCI-Express (x16) slots (2)
  • PCI-X (133MHz) bus slot
  • PCI-X (100MHz) bus slots (2)
  • 80GB SATA drive @ 7200 RPM
  • Chenbro SR105 server case with 460W power supply
